En motiu del Dia Internacional contra la LGTBIQAfòbia (17 de maig) la Lana Vuli va visitar l’Institut Bernat el Ferrer.
Els grups de ciències de 4t d’ESO van poder conèixer la història de 8 referents científics queers de diferents edats, gèneres, èpoques i ètnies, a més de veure estadístiques actuals i reflexions sobre la discriminació del col·lectiu en el camp de la ciència.
La xerrada va incloure tres actuacions de divulgació científica, inclosa una nova cançó sobre les plaques tectòniques amb música de la Taylor Swift en la qual l’alumnat va participar fent les segones veus.
És vital educar en la diversitat a totes les edats, trencar estereotips i mostrar al jovent de col·lectius discriminats que tenen un lloc al món tal com són i que existeixen xarxes de suport.

On the occasion of the International Day against LGBTIQAphobia (17th May), Lana Vuli visited Bernat el Ferrer high school.
The science groups of 15-year-olds learnt about the story of 8 queer scientists representing different ages, genders, times and ethnicities. They also heard about current statistics and considerations about the discrimination of our community in the scientific world.
The presentation included three science communication performances, including a new song about the tectonic plates with music by Taylor Swift in which the students sang the backing vocals.
It’s vital to teach diversity at all ages, to break stereotypes and to show young people in discriminated communities that they belong in the world as they are and that support networks are available.
