Un grup ens parla de la depuració d’aigües residuals en una representació molt física. L’altre grup es centra en els boscos i la desforestació en un ambient més íntim.
Per avaluar l’execució de la tasca, la Lana Vuli tindrà l’ajuda de la Putella Deville i del nanocientífic invitat Pedro David Bardají.

Science Queers Academy continues with a theatrical episode in which the students make us laugh while communicating science.
One group talks about the treatment of wastewater in a very physical performance. The other group focuses on the forests and deforestation in a more intimate setting.
To evaluate the execution of the assignment, Lana Vuli will be helped by Putella Deville and the guest nanoscientist Pedro David Bardají.

The first episode of season 2 of Science Queers Academy, the reality show about science communication in drag, is now available.
In this episode, the students of the academy must solve an escape room to gain access to the show.
To escape the room, we’ll learn the composition of the air, the number of traditional planets and dwarf planets in the solar system and the transformation of numbers into the binary code.
Tothom ha utilitzat el butà alguna vegada, o el butaner… Però això que sona tan sexy només és una cadena d’àtoms de carboni rodejada per àtoms d’hidrogen: CH3CH2CH2CH3.
El butà és de la família dels alcans, que tenen diferents noms segons la llargada de la cadena: metà (CH4), età (CH3CH3), propà (CH3CH2CH3), butà, pentà, hexà, heptà, octà… I la Lana ens ho explica mentre es maquilla.
Els quatre primers alcans, fins al butà, són gasos a temperatura ambient i pressió atmosfèrica. A partir del pentà els alcans són líquids fins als 17 àtoms de carboni. I a partir dels 18, són sòlids!

We have all used butane sometimes; or even the man who sells it… Sexy as it might sound, butane is just a carbon atom chain surrounded by hydrogen atoms: CH3CH2CH2CH3.
Butane belongs to the family of alkanes, which have different names according to the chain length: methane (CH4), ethane (CH3CH3), propane (CH3CH2CH3), butane, pentane, hexane, heptane, octane… And Lana tells us about it as she does her makeup.
The first four alkanes, up to butane, are gas at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. From pentane and up to 17 carbon atoms, they are liquid. And over 18 carbon atoms, they are solid!
Dos anys després de l’èxit de Science Queers Academy, el reality de ciència en drag, un nou grup de travestis amb cinc drag queens i un drag king divulgaran ciència amb espectacles variats per aconseguir la matrícula d’honor.

Two years after the success of Science Queers Academy, the reality show about science in drag, a new group of transvestites including five drag queens and one drag king will communicate science in a variety of shows to get the first class honours.
The eight episodes of the second season will be broadcast this autumn. At the moment, you can already enjoy the promotional music video and the introductions of the new students of the academy.

On the 1st of May of 2018, the now inactive Scientists Dating Forum organized a social event with science comedy that stood out from their other more formal actions.
This science comedy event offered a social and fun space in the context of science at the end of the workday in the laboratory.
Marnie Manning and doctor Matthew Murtha contributed with their experience as stand-up comedians. Lana Vuli and her alter ego Òscar Aznar Alemany contributed with the queer touch that the audience wasn’t expecting with the Seagood Tango and the Disney musical about pesticides in salmon.

Amb una estètica de travesti principiant, però tot el poder escènic, el Tango del peix es va estrenar a Brusseles el 25 de gener del 2017 a la conferència final del projecte ECsafeSEAFOOD amb membres de la indústria, autoritats i organitzacions de seguretat alimentària, associacions de consumidors i la comunitat científica.
Aquell mateix any, el Tango del peix es va presentar a la sessió Science Slam de SETAC Europe 2017, també a Brusseles, i a Nowhere, la versió espanyola del Burning Man al desert dels Monegres.

When drag legend Joan Oh moved to Barcelona in the summer of 2016, Lana asked Joan to teach her the art of drag for a project she had been considering for a while.
With a drag baby look, but all the stage power, the Seafood Tango premiered in Brussels on the 25th of January of 2017 at the final conference of the ECsafeSEAFOOD project attended by members of the industry, food safety organisations and authorities, consumer associations and the scientific community.
That same year, the Seafood Tango was performed at the Science Slam session of SETAC Europe 2017, also in Brussels, and at Nowhere, the Spanish version of Burning Man at the Monegros desert.
